  • Homemaking Habits to Start TODAY

To: Homemakers & Aspiring From: Ebony Nikita Okeke For: Tips for a Smoother Homemaking Lifestyle Hello Dolls! Since I have married, I taken on my journey of being a wonderful housewife to my husband. I have learned so much from being a homemaker and I am still learning. I have been able to recognize what I am good at and what I can improve in. Based on my experiences, I want to bring you Dolls my TOP TIPS regarding the HEALTHY HABITS HOMEMAKERS should have. Watch: HOMEMAKING HABITS 1. Make your Homemaking Schedule Having a homemaking schedule is very important. Whether you plan it out in your head, write it in a planner, or you write it on your wall calendar, create a homemaking schedule that works best for you. Map out what days work for which tasks. If you are a bit more laissez-faire, then at least list the tasks you'd like to complete every week. This may be weekly tasks such as cleaning the bathroom, sweeping the porch, or vacuuming every room. I have recently created a new homemaking schedule. I noticed how disorganized and overwhelmed I felt when I was not following one. I started a new schedule, my husband started a new schedule and life got busier. When life got busier, I should've took the initiative to adjust my schedule to better suit me and my husband's needs. Now I have learned to adjust and reform my homemaking schedule whenever I need to. It helps me feel better. It helps life goes smoother. Months ago that schedule worked, but now life has changed and so should my homemaking schedule. With my little story, the coordinating tip is to adjust or change your homemaking schedule as needed. If you realize you aren't getting to everything you've planned on your schedule, then change it. Schedules are made to work for you, you shouldn't be working for the schedule. Why force a homemaking schedule to work? That's what I tried doing. I tried forcing the schedule to work. If I'm finding myself trying to work around my homemaking schedule, then the schedule is wrong. It is no longer necessary and it is time for a new one. I wanted to feel like I was keeping to my housewife schedule which meant I was being a good housewife. Now I know that my homemaking schedule should be working for me. Its made to help me. Its made to make my life easier and organized. (Soon I will share my new homemaking schedule with you Dolls. I will share it on my blog and on my YouTube schedule.) 2. Be Accommodating to Your Husband For all of my married ladies, you may understand how important it is serve your husband. God calls us to serve others in his Name. Those others could be strangers, friends and family. So that includes your husband. The reason for my explanation is because sometimes others who aren't married or who may have had bad experiences may think contrary to this. I believe being a homemaker is a gift. Being a homemaker is hard work and I enjoy it very much. Yet, it is a luxury that many women may not be able to have. In this day and age, being a homemaker is very rare. If you are a black woman like me, then it is almost unheard of in these times. Years ago, there were a lot of black homemakers but due to the hardships in the past, its nearly rare. Yet, that is a different conversation for another much needed episode and blog post. Like I was saying before, being a homemaker is a blessing and apart of that blessing is the ability to be there for your family when they need you. I am happy that when my husband comes home I can tend to his needs. I gather his things like his laptop, jacket, shoes, etc. and I am able to put them away for him when he is too tired to. I am able to do tasks and errands for him. As a homemaker, it is a habit to make it a routine to be accommodating to your husband. Once he is home, check on him. See if he needs something done that you can do or help him with. You will notice how appreciative he will be towards you and how much more at ease he will be throughout his day. Not only is it a good habit to be accommodating to your husband when he comes home, it is great to do so when he away. Situate certain things in the home to make it more accommodating for him. Simply organizing every day areas that uses would be a great example. My husband loves it when those picky ways of his are met. haha. That means if he likes something one way, I'll do it that way just for him. That is love. 3. Primp & Pamper Yourself Every Single Day Have you ever had 'one of those days' to where you're a bit more sluggish or its a 'cleaning day' so it's just pajamas and slippers for you ALL DAY. I typically despise those days because I feel equally sluggish the next day. To combat that cycle, its important to put efforts into your appearance every single day. Now this does not mean you have put on a full face of makeup EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't do that either. Yet, I do make sure I am at least primping myself. I may put my hair into a low bun or maybe adorn it with a classic ribbon. I may wear my light makeup routine, as I've shown you Dolls in my 'Quick & Easy Feminine Wife Makeup Tutorial'. If you Dolls have seen any of my Feminine Elegance at Home Lookbooks then you know I have a separate wardrobe comprised of housewife loungewear. This truly saves me from looking and feeling sluggish. Either way I make sure that I am primping myself for the day. When you do so, you are welcoming the day with productivity. We all know as homemakers, it's very important to be productive. Therefore start off your day by primping and pampering yourself. Also, every night I have my skincare routine. That is apart of pampering myself. I haven't been able to make it to the spa for a good deep treatment on my skin. I decided to purchase a facial steamer and it has really made me feel like I'm back at the spa! Its my 10 minutes of relaxation before I go to sleep. 4. Pre-Plan Your Meals I don't think I could say this enough. I have been in the position to where I am cleaning majority of the day then I realize its nearing dinner time and I don't know what to cook. Either I have an idea in my head, but then I'm lacking the ingredients. Take a day in your Homemaking Schedule to plan a collection of meals for the week. I preferably love to have at least 3 quick and easy meals, in case life becomes too busy. It's important to have options for breakfast and lunch just as much as dinner. You want you and your family to be satisfied throughout the day with good meals. To me that is a sign of the rich, when everyone has a good meal to eat throughout the day. That includes a good breakfast, a healthy lunch and a filling dinner. As homemakers it's important that we have these prepared and available for our family. When I was just starting out as homemaker, I was very excited to begin cooking these elaborate meals. Yet, sometimes I felt overwhelmed and I would spend over 10 minutes trying to figure out a new recipe to create. That is where pre-planning comes in. I still do enjoy cooking new meals but now I value having a collection of staple recipes that I can cook effortlessly. These are quick, no-brainers, I-can-do-this-in-my-sleep type of meals. The best part about the meals is that these meals satisfies effortlessly. 5. Start a Homemaking Hobby With caring for your home 24/7, there needs to be a time to where you can care for yourself. You need to be able to relax and have some type of enjoyment purely focusing on you and your interests. When I first married, I viewed me being a wife as a new journey and role to fulfill. I was very excited and determined to become the best wife to my husband. While doing so, I realized I was not making time for myself. I used to draw, sew and paint more often. Since I was married, at least 5 months in, I hadn't done any of that. My lack of hobbies was not caused by my husband's needs or the business of life. It was caused by my own negligence. I remember feeling homesick, feeling like I really changed and I didn't know how to feel about it. I realized those combinations of emotions were connected to me not making time for myself. No one else is going to remind you every day to do that hobby that you left months or years ago. It's up to you to find something you enjoy and pursue it for your own enjoyment. Once you're able to take that break from everyday tasks and enjoy your hobby, you will be surprised on how you feel for the rest of the day and week. Some of my hobbies would be: baking, sewing, decorating table settings and painting. There are many traditional hobbies that us homemakers would fancy. What was your favorite homemaking habit I mentioned? What are you looking most forward to once you are a homemaker? Comment below! Let's Chat, Dolls. Always with love, Ebony Nikita Okeke

  • Tissues, Please! For Our Marriage Issues: Newlywed Tips

Hello Dolls! Happy Wife Wednesday! I’m very excited for this new weekly segment for anything & everything having to do with being a WIFE! By the grace of God, my husband and I made it through our first year of marriage. Any married couple knows what I mean. So don’t feel alone, if you are dealing with issues or problems! A VERY important topic that ALL relationships go through is CONFLICTS. The killer to a peaceful rest and enjoying one’s company. Or more noticeably to men, conflict is a true killer of bedroom time & to women, it’s a true killer of romance and intimacy. Conflict usuallly stops us married couples from doing the special thing that leads up to God’s call for us to “be fruitful & multiply”. It doesn’t HAVE to be that way, but we’re human, we are flesh and sometimes it’s just that hard to overcome conflict. Whether the issue is BIG or small, it is still an issue that needs to be settled. There is such a diversity and complexity to everyones marriage. Sometimes it could be hard to explain and share with others. I’m here to help. The important thing to remember is that where there is Yahweh, there is a way. Tips to Help Battle Conflicts & Issues 1. Take a Deep Breath. It’s easy to get overemotional about conflicts between you and your husband. It’s okay to be emotional! If you have to cry, then cry. If you need a moment to gather yourself then take a moment. We’re women. And proud to be women. For some of us, crying is our way of coping, releasing and detoxing an issue. 2. Talk it out. Communication is KEY. Its wise to pick and choose your battles, but to leave issues left unsaid is foolish. You don’t want to mimic a volcano and wait until you‘re full of anger or sadness to blow up! Take a few minutes to clearly voice your concern, issue or suggestion. Even if you do not find a solution right away, its important that you PINPOINT the issue. Focus on the MAIN problem. Voice it. Stay on topic. It’s very easy to get into an argument and go off topic. Even if things get off topic, REFOCUS & RECENTER the issue. 3. Don’t Run Away from Help. If you are really going through it and the valley is deep and dark, then GET HELP. Go to someone you can TRUST. Preferably talk to your pre-martial counselors, to a trusted married couple, your pastor or reverend or a trusted member of your church’s community. I believe EVERY married couple knows that marriage is not easy nor perfect. It’s better to outsource and get the help you truly need than to fake a smile & stay in the same bad spot. 4. DON’T VENT to JUST ANYBODY We ALL need to vent. I get it. I’m the same way. Yet you NEVER want to complain and complain to your bestie about your husband. When you are saying only the bad things about your marriage and NONE of the good, then often times, your friend will loose respect for your husband and your marriage or lessen the right type of support. 5. Join a LIFE GROUP/Church Support Group Surround yourself with God-seeking people! Not only will they be a great example, you will have that faith-filled support you NEED. You will be able to vent honestly to other Christians who are going through, have been or getting over a similar situation as you. 6. Be the Change You want to See. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can” Focus on yourself! If you dont see the change for the better, then YOU should make it! If you want something changed then you need to initiate it without expecting something in return. That is the way of the Lord that we should follow in general. 7. Don‘t Push God Out of Your Marriage Marriage is between a wife, a husband and God. Make sure you and your husband are practicing good habits with God. Simply praying together every morning and every night is a great way to connect. Choose a different day out of the week for 1-on-1 Marriage Bible study. You and your husband can read along with a video or a Bible plan to go over marriage, love and relationships. Little acts may result in a BIG reward. Although marriage can be tough, it is a beautiful gift that God has given you. Always remind yourself of your blessings and never let ANYTHING distract you from it. What is one of your solutions for overcoming marriage issues? Comment down below. Let’s Chat Doll. With Love, Ebony Nikita

  • What is Hypergamy? - Housewife's Thoughts +Pros & Cons

To: Dolls From: Ebony Nikita Okeke For: Hypergamy Pros & Cons Hello Dolls, Hypergamy is a hot topic in the dating world for both males and females. In my latest video, we talk about: What is Hypergamy? Why Do Women Want to Date Hypergamously? The Pros of Hypergamy? The Cons of Hypergamy? Housewife's Thoughts on Hypergamy Watch My Video, "Housewife's Thoughts on Hypergamy" Let's go deeper into HYPERGAMY. The comment section of my video is filled with interesting opinions on hypergamy.Thoughts and opinions from housewives, single ladies, men and wives. Be sure to share your thoughts too! What is HYPERGAMY? The simplest way to describe it, is 'dating up'. When you choose to exclusively date men who are in a higher socioeconomic status than you. Dating hypergamously is intentional and exclusive. A woman who dates in hope for marriage, doesn't look twice at a man who is in the same socioeconomic status as her or lesser. The Socioeconomic Class Hierarchy When dating hypergamously, if you're in the middle class, you date a man in the upper-middle class or upper class. If you're in the working class, then you date above that class. Dating hypergamously isn't a new concept. It's been an active practice for many people in different countries and within various cultures. In America, some may call it being a gold-digger, yet there are some who argue that they're securing their lifestyle and future. The Reality of Hypergamy Overall, as women we're looking for providers. I don't believe money should be the main factor in finding a husband. We shouldn't underestimate the joy and positive outcome of 'building up' when you marry someone in your same class. All that glitter is not gold. Although you may 'marry rich', doesn't mean your marriage will last or be successful. The dating world is already competitive and when you're competing for the top 19% of men in America who is in the upper class, expect even more. fierce competition. There are women who are dedicated to dating hypergamously who fits the upper class men's beauty standards. Just because you marry in your socioeconomic class, doesn't mean you won't amount to wealth and success within the next years to come. The Bible says "He who finds a wife, finds favor" and that may lead to many blessings in ways you couldn't imagine. Success can happen even if you don't marry rich. On the other hand, dating hypergamously does have its perks. You can live more than comfortably and perhaps experience luxuries you aren't use to.You may find the man of your dreams, who is able to make your lifestyle dreams come true. Either way, a successful marriage is built upon trust, love, forgiveness and God within your marriage. I would advise every young lady to focus on that first. More money will come later whether you marry within your socioeconomic status or hypergamously. Be patient. Let God lead you when you're ready to start building a relationship for marriage. What are your thoughts on hypergamy? Did you marry hypergamously? Are you dating hypergamously? Comment Below! Let's Chat, Dolls. Always with Love, Ebony Nikita Okeke

  • How to Be Feminine for Black Women

Hello Dolls! As a black married woman, I have found femininity to be immensely important to me and within my marriage. Whether married or not, femininity is beautiful and essential for us as black women to embrace. Yes as black women, we are strong, we are resilient and we should continue to be so. Yet, we should not ignore the importance of embracing our femininity. • FEMININITY • • Qualities or attributes regarded as characteristics of women. • “Being relational, nurturing, vulnerable/soft, beautiful, and responsive are wonderful qualities that God Himself has bestowed upon us and we can bear His image rightly as we function in them.” Recently, I have posted my full tips in detail on ‘How to Be Feminine for Black Women’. These tips are universal, but I used my personal experiences as a black woman to curate these tips in our best interest. If you are trying to overcome the stereotypes and the hurt you’ve felt from society and others, as a black woman, then I‘d recommend you watching “Overcoming Stereotypes: Femininity for Black Women”. I cover the “strong black woman” narrative and expectation. I proceed to tell how we as black woman can be still be strong women, but also soft and feminine. This would be a great first step for any black woman who is trying to ignite her femininity. If you are now ready to fully begin your femininity journey, LET’S BEGIN! Watch and Read along my coordinating and in detail YouTube Video! Your First Steps: https://youtu.be/YEXfVl-eUbM 1. Learn How to Compliment Your Natural Features Once you learn how to compliment your natural features, you will feel more feminine and beautiful which will lead to more confidence within yourself. The two main ways you can compliment your features is by wearing makeup and pampering your skin. • MAKEUP • Makeup shouldn’t be used to reconstruct or to hide your face. You are already beautiful. Use makeup to compliment what is already there. EN TIP: What is one of your facial features you find beautiful? Maybe its your skin complexion, your eyes, your cheekbones or perhaps your smile. Once you’ve picked one, dedicate time to and find out how to best compliment it! • SKINCARE • One thing to note is that you DON’T need makeup in order to be feminine. It is a great tool to compliment your natural features, yet there is another way. Other than makeup you can compliment your natural beauty by pampering your skin. EN TIP: Care to your current skin’s needs. Instead of wearing makeup, try a nourishing facial oil or a dewy & glowy facial mist to help make your skin glow! 2. It all Starts with a Feminine Mindset Before you can truly become a feminine woman, your mindset must reflect just that. A great place to start, is the beginning. The Bible speaks on who we are and who we are to be as women. For a more in depth and detail of what a feminine woman is and who Yahweh calls us as women to be, a great breakdown of the source would be this article: “A Real Woman Defining Biblical Femininity” by D’Ann Davis https://www.livehope.org/article/a-real-woman-defining-biblical-femininity/ This article is a great read and it is very helpful for anyone who is new to restarting or strengthening their femininity journey. Without a proper understanding of femininity itself, no woman can reach the goal of her femininity journey. 3. Dress More Femininely Something that helps me feel feminine would be, dressing in a feminine way. EN TIP: Find Your Feminine Signature Style! What Clothing makes You feel the most beautiful and feminine? Start from there! Help Build Your Feminine Wardrobe: https://youtu.be/ocXGxtqPIjM Fall & Winter Feminine Outfit Inspiration: https://youtu.be/9QrvlEPCQoA 4. Be Polished Taking care of yourself is apart of being feminine. Pay attention to the small details before you leave the house. Make sure you aren’t being lazy with your appearance. Wear what’s comfortable and still complimentary. To help you keep up with pampering and caring for yourself, I’ve personally found this Vintage Beauty Schedule encouraging and helpful. Even if you are not married yet, this can still be useful. As of course, alter the beauty schedule to fit into your life schedule. Either way, take time to truly pamper yourself every week. 5. Etiquette Another step to complete your femininity journey would to refresh your etiquette. As I’ve mentioned in “A Lady’s Guide to Social Etiquette”, you can put on the dress and makeup to look like a feminine and respectable lady, but if you can’t speak and interact like one, then it is useless. For a full run-through to ensure your etiquette is at its best, be sure to watch “A Lady’s Guide to Social Etiquette” on my YouTube Channel for more details and advice. • What to do on Slow Days & During Quarantine

Hello Dolls! In the midst of this madness, many of us wives may be working from home or relaxing at home. My husband says the silver lining of everyone being home is the ability to spend more time with God. Amen to that. Now of course, I’ve had my leisurely days that has kinda of...just...rolled by without me doing anything productive. We all need those days. Unfortunately those days can turn into “boring“ days. To help solve that issue, I’m encouraging all of us Dolls to busy ourselves. This will help stop the days that seem to roll past us. The last thing we want is to feel like we came out of quarantine without any shown progress, accomplishment or growth. Here are things we can all do during this quarantine: 1. Finish that Good Book Raise your hand if you have a book that you bought, but never finished. It’s almost like it’s there, but it’s too far to reach. For some of us this could be a romance novel, a business guide or the Bible. Instead of mindlessly scrolling through our beloved phone, let’s upgrade our hobby to reading. As for the Bible, it would be a great idea to start Bible study group with you husband or you can video group call your friends for Bible study. 2. Finish that Task You’ve Avoided (or never started) Goodness this list could go on and on for some of us. It may be deep cleaning one area of your home, decluttering that disaster of a closet, or getting to that painting you‘ve always wanted to start. Take one day and decide to finish that task. You’ll thank yourself for it later. 3. Take Care of Yourself I know there’s moms and wives out there, who usually does not have the moment for posh time & primping. I would encourage you to plan just one hour out of your day to do one act of self-care. Whether it is doing a face mask or painting your nails, take the time to give yourself a short break by primping. 4.Try that Sweet Recipe As many of you know, I love to bake. This is the perfect time to add some sweetness into your family’s life! Bake with your family or try that new recipe you’ve always adored. There are many baking recipes that require few ingredients and they still taste delicious! Cookies, muffins and pound cakes are great choices that only require little ingredients. 5. Plan the Romantic Stay-At-Home Date Now is the time to add the sweet to the bitter. Its a great time to eat dinner, share a dessert and snuggle up to a good movie. Simply preparing a baked good, after dinner, can turn a regular dinner into a romantic night. Add some candles, dress your table in it’s best tablecloth, play some mood music and you have yourself a romantic date! Me and my husband personally love to play a board game after dinner. Theres always card games or movies that you and your husband can enjoy! How are you staying productive at home? What activity is occupying your days? Mine would have to be creative cooking, FaceTiming my family & planning out my YouTube channel and blog! What’s yours? Tell me in the comment section! Let’s Chat, Doll. • How to have a Feminine Glow Up

Hello Dolls! It is a new year and it feels good. While we are writing our New Years Resolutions, let's be sure to add growth within our femininity too! 2021 is the year of DEFINING & REFINING. In my episode "How to be More Feminine in 2021 & Glow Up", I shared tips on truly glowing up within this beautiful year. Here is my final tip to truly having a FEMININE GLOW UP! TIP #5 Take yourself seriously and practice SELF CARE When someone has truly glowed up, it is because they are taking care of themselves. Through the outside and the inside they are putting effort into caring for themselves. When you do choose to take care of yourself, it shows. This year, let's be 100% intentional and consistent about it. We all may have different ways of practicing self care, but either way cater to your needs. I believe practicing self care is an individualistic way to truly putting yourself first. My practice of self care may be a trip to the spa every month and reading my romance novel at the end of the night. Yours may be writing in your journal and going to the salon every 2 weeks. Either way, we are doing what's best for us. Define what your definition of self care is, then refine it, by pinpointing the activities which lead you to feeling relaxed, cared for and loved. If you are a bit inconsistent due to the busyness of life then consider creating a wall calendar, planner or memo for your weekly and monthly self care activities. Today take the time to plan out your self care days. It is important to take yourself seriously. What is your strategy to growing within your femininity? What topic do you want me to discuss next? • Make a VOW to your Home: Housewife 101

Hello Dolls, At the end of the day, as a homemaker I find myself searching for a feeling of accomplishment within my daily homemaking tasks. I like to end my day feeling like I was productive and I properly tended to my home. Unfortunately, not every day ends perfectly. Things come up, I forget to do something or my schedule gets moved around. Its those busy days, where there are a million things to do, but so little time. I want to accomplish everything, but by the end of the day it feels like I accomplished SO LITTLE. I know many homemakers could relate to that. This year I want to feel harmony within my homemaking tasks. I want to be able to conquer those PLANNED and UNEXPECTED tasks. Although I have a schedule, many things may stop my planned routine. Being adaptable is an important trait when it comes to being a homemaker. So this year, I made a simplified homemaking routine for those days when life just happens. Make a V.O.W. to your Home. This is my Homemaking acronym that I pivot to, when the day has truly gotten away from me. When unexpected tasks pop up in my day, I shift my schedule to adapt. Whenever I feel like things are not going as planned, I now concentrate on My Homemaking V.O.W. V.O.W. stands for: Vacuum, Organize & Wash dishes. As long as I vacuum the main part of my home, choose one thing to tidy up and organize, and I make sure the dishes are washed at the end of the night, then I've done my homemaking duty for the day. This allows me to simplify a potential overwhelming day. The mindset is, As long as the unexpected task is completed and the basic homemaking tasks are completed by the end of the day, I will still feel accomplished. The concept is, Instead of trying to juggle all of the planned homemaking tasks with the unexpected tasks, you simplify it instead. The plan is, I will clear my pre-planned homemaking schedule for that day. Instead, I will conquer the unexpected task that popped up, then end my day with V.O.W.. The reward is, I won't feel overwhelmed during the day. I won't feel unproductive. I will feel accomplished by the end of the day. It's about prioritizing and working smarter as a homemaker. If I still have time to complete some of my planned tasks, then I will. I switch the priority over and adapt my day to the unexpected task. Usually when something pops up I find myself trying to complete the unexpected task and it competes with my other planned tasks. This could lead me to feel overwhelmed, unaccomplished and I end up putting too much on my plate which leads to me accomplishing nothing. Your Homemaking V.O.W. may stand for different tasks. Choose the basic necessity tasks within your home that will help you feel accomplished at the end of the day. V.(O).W. ORGANIZING Task Examples organize the... Closet Pantry Bookshelf Cabinets Common Areas Office Playroom OTHER V.O.W. Examples Sweep Mop Dust Laundry Feel Free to switch out the V.O.W. tasks for ones you find fit for your homemaking needs! This simplified homemaking schedule has truly saved my days. Learning to adapt to changes is an important part about being a homemaker. I'm happy that I found a solution that allows me to be productive and feel accomplished as a homemaker. What does YOUR V.O.W. stand for? Try your Homemaking V.O.W. this week and share your experience with us. I'll be sharing my homemaking schedule and talking about V.O.W. in my upcoming Housewife Diary Vlog. I'd love to share some of YOUR experiences with V.O.W. in the vlog! Comment your V.O.W. and your experience below! Let's Chat, Dolls. Always with Love, Ebony Nikita Okeke

  • Your Winter Feminine Fashion Inspo of the Week

To: Dolls From: Ebony Nikita Okeke Hello Dolls, it is always a happy day on Fridays. I have been enjoying the feminine winter outfits I've been seeing on social media. Since it has gotten pretty cold here in Georgia, I have been slightly reluctant to leave home. I'm constantly layering with scarves, tall socks and sweaters. My accessories has been my best friend when it comes to feeling polished. I noticed I prefer my statement earrings over my simple ones since it's the one part of my ensemble that shows no matter what. These outfits I found on Instagram has dazed me with feminine fashion inspiration! I've been graviatating to more colorful pieces during this winter season. Within the winter fashion wardrobe, it's so easy to fall into the newspaper state, aka all black and white. These ensembles inspire me. • 5 Not-So-Ladylike Habits to End

Hello Dolls, If someone was asked to describe you, what characteristics would they give you? Would they say you're mannerly? elegant? How about ladylike? It is very important that we uphold our ladylike persona in every environment we're in. All who encounter us, would be able to agree and say 'she's a lady'. These 5 UNLADYLIKE & UNFEMININE HABITS would deter someone from describing you as being a true lady. Watch my YouTube video for more on these tips: 5 UNLADYLIKE & UNFEMININE Habits You Must END UNLADYLIKE HABITS 1. Unpolished Hair - Wearing Bonnets or the 'Messy Bun' 2. Arriving Late 3. Being Disrespectful 4.Posting Thirst Traps 5. Lacking Basic Manners - Practice everyday manners at home for more, watch the video "5 UNLADYLIKE Habits to End" MY BONUS TIP: Have you ever heard the phrase, 'She's the loudest one in the room'? Its never said in a positive connation. This is a habit that clearly differentiates an everyday woman from a true lady. You can be 'the loudest one in the room' in more ways than one. This could be due to the volume of your voice to the way you are dressed. There are many more that could contribute to you being 'the loudest one in the room' with realizing it. This unladylike habit takes time to overcome if you're usually the one who fits the bill. You must train yourself to speak at an appropriate level. Keep yourself composed whether a situation or event is exciting or offensive. Use this practice in your everyday life whether you're asking for assistance in a store, to visiting family, to dining in a restaurant. Make sure you're properly and tastefully dressed for an occasion. Dressing in a revealing way could cause unnecessary attention. Wearing distractingly bright or noncomplimentary colors may give you the title of being 'the loudest person in the room'. What are your thoughts about the bonus tip? Have you overcame any of these unladylike habits? Which tip is your favorite? Comment below! Let's Chat, Dolls. Always with Love, Ebony Nikita Okeke

  • Top 10 Feminine Fall & Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Hello Dolls, It is time to cross our 't's and dot our 'i's when it comes to having a complete and cohesive feminine wardrobe for the cooler seasons! These are my TOP 10 necessities in my fall & winter closet that every feminine lady should have. In my latest fashion video, I shared feminine fashion inspiration in my fall lookbook featured in my video, "How to dress Feminine in the Fall & Winter". I shared my best tips on looking feminine & elegant although we're dealing with chilly and cold weather! I also shared the BEST FEMININE TRENDS for Fall & Winter 2021. The Top 10 - The feminine sweater - As I mentioned in "How to dress Feminine in the Fall & Winter", it's so easy to achieve that chunky, lego block look in the fall and winter season due to all of the layers. Its best to fill your closet the perfect feminine style sweater to keep your feminine shape accentuated. Look for sweaters in feminine styles like peplum, puff sleeve and the ones with sweetheart necklines. - The trench coat - A trench coat is an absolute ESSENTIAL in every lady's closet. Its my go-to coat when I need to hurry out the door. It helps you achieve a polished look without much effort. Always go for a classic color, like khaki tan or black. Yet, it's also fun to include accent colors like dusty rose to add a feminine touch to any of your outfits that you wear with it. - The sweater dress - Keep the feminine silhouette while staying warm. You can go for a knee-length sweater dress and you also have the options of a midi or maxi-length sweater dress. Pair with a tights or pantyhose to keep warm on the colder days! - The blazer - Elegant and chic in all seasons. The blazer is another go-to that emulates a sartorial elegance. Depending on your needs, you can choose a lightweight blazer to throw over a thick sweater, a blazer in a sweater fabric (basically a structured cardigan, wink wink) or you can go for the classic blazer. Each design delivers the same sophisticated look. - The fleece tights - This would be in my Winter Wardrobe SURVIVAL Kit. Fleece tights or leggings is my secret key to staying WARM in the winter season while wearing a cute skirt. You can also go for long johns too. I'd say double/triple your stock of fleece-lined tights! I have fleece-lined socks, leggings and tights for 7-days a week. - The scarf - This is a given, but lets make sure we have a fashionable scarf to bring the ensemble together. I have chic and feminine silk scarves for the fall and hefty, stylish scarf for the cold winter. - The holiday dress - This is a MUST in every lady's wardrobe. Thanksgiving, Christmas, holiday parties and everything in between, they all somehow require a new holiday dress that you just don't have. Go for a basic and cute holiday dress that you can accessorize for multiple seasonal occasions. By styling and accessorizing each time, you'll be able to get a great cost-per-wear AND you'll be just fine in every picture. - The dressy boot - Thigh-high, bootie, knee-high, or mid-calf, all are welcome. Have one pair of COMFORTABLE and STYLISH boot that you can wear with majority of your pre-planned seasonal looks. Slip-ons are great, but you want to be able to rightfully use the sidewalk as a runway in your dressy boots. - The casual boot - Yes, yes, we all love a good boot, but lets not get stuck in the 7 dwarves boots for every time you leave your home. You need a dressy boot, but also a STYLISH CASUAL BOOT that is comfortable. Easy-on and easy-off is one of the functional needs. I stick to 1"-3" height in my casual boots. - The peacoat - The ultimate winter outerwear CLASSIC. Need I say more? Keep warm and stay chic. - Feminine Color Stories for Your Fall & Winter Wardrobe - Choose a color story to inspiration your wardrobe. Go for pieces that coordinates with your chosen color scheme. This is an easy way to build a cohesive & feminine wardrobe! Dolls, do you have ALL 10 of these feminine wardrobe essentials? Which ones are you missing in your wardrobe?
